Softmulch

SoftMulch® is a 100% recycled bonded rubber eco-mulch, developed for use in children’s playgrounds. The rubber is processed from selected industrial and commercial tyre. The bonded eco-mulch® is uniquely shredded and graded to produce a bark type effect, then coloured with various vibrant natural looking colours. The eco-mulch® is then mixed with a specially formulated resin binder and then levelled,rolled and finished at a minimum of 50mm thickness over a geotextile membrane. The finish is a rolled and textured bark effect which blends beautifully with natural and rural surroundings. Soft Mulch® is a fully tested and certificated impact absorbing system, with a maximum critical fall height of 3.5 metres on a concrete sub-base. Shapes and colours can be created to enhance play area’s giving them a safe and fun look and feel. Soft Mulch® is extremely versatile and cost effective due to the fact that in most cases there is no need for expensive groundwork’s thus also making it more ecologically friendly. Soft Mulch® can be installed over many existing surfaces and gradients including: Grass, concrete, tarmac, soil, gravel, existing bark pits, tree roots, pathways, slopes,mounds, patio’s, and existing synthetic surfaces. Soft Mulch® is extremely porous; however, poorly drained areas may require some form of drainage prior to installation.
